"Just because you can't see any clouds doesn't mean the sky is empty" Samantha.
The short film tells the story of how two new friends soon rapidly become more over their shared love for music. Samantha is new in the quaint town having moved with her Mother, Samantha is an astounding pianist who tends to spend the majority of her day either practising the musical piece 'Clair du Lune' on the piano or listening to it. Taylor just happens to stumble into her practice sessions one afternoon at school and the two girls quickly become good friends. The friendship soon becomes more intense and the two girls start up a secret relationship, something new/scary for both of them being with a girl but at the same time feels right to them.
Unknown to them Taylor's Mother has found out about the pair and soon forbids the budding romance clearly putting her thoughts/feelings across to Taylor that she does not and will not accept it. Nor does she agree with Samantha going to College to study Music to her people only go to college to pursue a career in the core subjects, anything else is unheard of due to her small town upbringing.
Taylor feels compelled to do as her Mother says in regards to her relationship with Samantha as she doesn't really have a say in what goes on in her life right now but at the same time she needs Samantha to know that it was not a mistake/phase for she truly loved it and wanted it. It just appears that it's not the right time for them.
