living loves young dream with Tristan whilst she is trying to forget her feelings for Rebecca as well as stop reliving their one passionate evening together. Rebecca however just gets stuck into her work and spending time with her gay friends Olli and Christan. When Marlene suddenly returns Rebecca is ecstatic but Marlene is torn between her feelings and goes with the expected pretending that she is in love with Tristan and that she and Rebecca should forget about what went on between them and go back to just being best friends.
However she apologizes profusely for hurting/upsetting Rebecca but Rebecca is not interested in her halfhearted apologies. Rebecca is clearly heartbroken by this and distances herself from Marlene in every sense however Marlene does not see it the same way and keeps appearing out of nowhere. Marlene even goes to the extreme to agreeing to marry Tristan even though she initially had doubts when he first asked her. The distance may have done the world of good for Tristan and Marlene however it's had the adverse effect with Marlene and Rebecca.
Marlene keeps assuring her that they continue the friendship as long as
they forget the past which leads the two to clash continuously, as Marlene has no idea of the boundaries any more and Rebecca keeps putting boundaries between them to prevent herself from getting hurt further. The relationship rapidly falls apart further when Tristan tries in vain to work out why the two aren't as close as they once were which only adds fuel to fire for Rebecca and petrifies Marlene as she thinks Rebecca will out their romantic liaison at anytime. With Tristan being excited about getting married to
Marlene he tries to discuss preparations with her but her mind always seems to wander back to Rebecca, her touch, her kisses, their time together. When Tristan suggests that Rebecca be Marlene's witness as they are best friends she brushes it off stating that Tanja is her best friend. Tristan being the caring, loving man that her is tries to tell her that she only feels that way as Rebecca wasn't ecstatic that the two were getting married as she is worried she will lose her friend. You slowly watch as Tristan falls more and more in love with Marlene, Rebecca distances herself more and more from the family Tristan and Marlene in particular. Yet again Tristan tries to step in and reunite the two but this time Rebecca comes clean with her feelings, leaving Tristan feeling somewhat betrayed and confused. He soon apologizes but not without first being arrogant about it saying without saying the exact word that Marlene would not be interested in Rebecca as she's not her type as she is a female (little does he know that she not only interested but has already consummated their situation-ship.) This only further infuriates Rebecca who is about to out the fact that she and Marlene have been intimate but when Marlene appears behind Tristan she decides against it and storms off.
Rebecca. Marlene and Juliette are working on a photo shoot together as the models, initially Marlene isn't able to portray the jealously look that they need but as soon as she sees what she interprets as flirting between Rebecca and Juliette she is soon able to play the part perfectly. When Rebecca and Juliette decide to hang out at 'No Limits' which is Marlene and Tristan's business, she
seems to watch the two like a hawk to the extent where Juliette notices and brings it to Rebecca's attention which seems to somewhat annoy her but then she uses it to her advantage to slightly flirt with Juliette.
Marlene coincidentally collides with Rebecca just as she is carrying two glasses of champagne back to her seat, the drinks spill all over the pair of them and the glasses shatter/break as they hit the ground. Rebecca instinctively squats down to clear up the class so no-one will get hurt as does Marlene, they reach for the same piece where Marlene takes hold of Rebecca's hand and begins to stroke it affectionately which angers Rebecca as she snatches her hand away. This action appears to hurt both of them, Rebecca because she knows the feelings won't be reciprocated as Marlene is with Tristan and Marlene because she is with Tristan. When Marlene and Tristan get into an argument about both Marlene and Rebecca's intentions to one another the shit hits the fan as Marlene not only admits that she feels something more than friendship for her. Without warning Rebecca she gets into what she thinks is a friendly fencing exercise with Tristan. Initially it seems like a little competition between the two but soon his aggressive behavior soon proves otherwise, leaving Rebecca afraid and Tristan writhing with anger. Just as the dust settles from that confession Marlene goes on to tell Tristan that she and Rebecca have slept together. That truly tips Tristan over the edge making him become an aggressive, unbearable person to be around for anyone who has the misfortune of being in his company.
