Friends the Friendships that weren't misconstrued (Joey and Chandler's Bromance Part 1)

Within in Friends you witness the love, laughter, compassion of six friends. Maybe because it was a
different time men were able to be as close and intimate with their best friends as women are. Or maybe it is because the characters are constantly in relationships and even though the men have feminine sides/traits their still very much a mans man. 
Joey and Chandler became friends by chance when they started living together, Joey came into the group as Chandler's room mate. The two soon realized that they enjoyed hanging out so Chandler evidently introduced him to his friends. Ross his friend from College, Monica his younger sister, Phoebe was Monica's roommate but moved into her Grandmother's apartment. Rachel who's been Monica's best friend for years. The friendships between  all of the group seems platonic however when you look at the interactions between individual couples they seem somewhat more than innocent. They are the primary couple to make you sometimes question friendships. What starts off as an innocent friendship can sometimes be misconstrued as something more. The two spend a vast amount of time together they live together, eating, watching TV, hanging out with the same friends. They appear to be polar

opposites as Joey works as an actor who is forever going to auditions but never getting a call back whilst Chandler is a Statistical Analysis and Data Reconfiguration where he makes substantial more money than Joey. However they seem to be one another's soul mates even after Monica and Chandler finally admit to their friends that they are a couple and that they are very much in love. 
Through the ten years and the couple of apartments the two shared (when they briefly swapped apartments with Monica and Rachel due to a bet.) as well as the two living apart when Joey finally got a well paying gig (it obviously didn't last long as they missed one another's companionship) and then with Chandler moving out to live with Monica the two always remained as close as ever. They've been there through numerous of relationship breakdowns, different/unique fashion disasters as well as hair mishaps (the main one being Joey trying to get his eyebrows waxed but not being able to withstand the pain and only being able to get one done thankfully Chandler saves the day and plucks the other eyebrow for him) weddings majority of them being Ross', then Chandler's to Monica before Phoebe and Mike finally united.

Protesters: "No hope for Homos!"

The viewing audience follow around Alex and her life, her marriage to Robert, her volunteer work at the Hope House, AID's Hospice as she and majority of the ladies in her town of Azalea Springs, Texas are junior leaguers. Unfortunately one of her close friends Bruce has been admitted to the Hospice so she is more than happy to be volunteering there so that she can regularly see him. Which thoroughly upsets and disgusts both her neanderthal of a Husband and her pretentious Mother. However the issue is that some of the people in her town are not too impressed with The Hope House having resident who have AID's so they protest about it right outside the building the ringleader being the local Priest (who leads a double life. By day he's the local priest leading the protests outside the Hospice by Night he's in the gay clubs.) Which only further makes the infected patients uncomfortable as well as their family members who want to visit them. As well as the 'Homo no more' group for men who no longer wanna lead a gay lifestyle as it goes against God or at least that's what some of the small minded people of the town believe.

Mark: "Hi, my name's Mark, and I'm a..."

 Group: "Healthy Heterosexual Male!"

With Alex initially volunteering at the Hospice part-time she soon bumps into her old best friend

Grace who has recently moved back to town due to her marriage breaking down and wanting to be closer to her Mother. Both Alex and Spencer are thrilled that she is back as Spencer wants her to have some normal friends other than the brainwashed women from the junior leaguers especially Sloane. Alex and Grace reminisce over their past friendship, relationships and where their individual lives have taken them to whilst they were apart. Grace subtly drops in that even though she was married to the guy from school who evidently got her pregnant as a teen she is in fact a lesbian. The main reason that her marriage broke down is because a because her ex-husband was an abusive alcoholic who beat her up and the reason for the beating was because he found out she was having an affair with a fellow female nurse. Alex is intrigued by Grace's confession and confides in Spencer that Grace is a lesbian to which Spencer replies he always knew that because of his gaydar. He hints that Alex should have known to as she predominantly dated closeted gay guys at high school.

Soon after that revelation Alex starts to look at Grace in a whole new light and the two increase the amount of time they spend together. Alex even goes to the extreme of pretending she is ill and missing out on a night out with her husband and his new potential clients so she can rent a whole load of movies which involve some sort of lesbian relationship. It seems pretty soon after watching all the movies it has confirmed to her that she wants to pursue something with Grace even at the risk of her loveless and sexless marriage coming to an end. The two end up sharing a kiss one day at the hospital when Alex is having rather an emotional day after seeing how sick Bruce really is and that Grace/Spencer are his sole carers. Alex tries to initiate the kiss but Grace isn't sure as she knows Alex is married but she soon caves.

Alex Stratton: "Grace. I want to kiss you."  

         Grace Miller: "Alex, don't do this." 

Alex Stratton: "Why?" 

Grace Miller: "Because you're going to like it."

Just as they are getting into the kiss the two are unfortunately caught by none other than Sloane and Spencer when they are meant to be retrieving the badges of the women who have quit volunteering at the Hospice through fear that they too may catch HIV.  

Sloane soon spreads the news of the two girls locking lips and Alex's husband ultimately leaves her after confronting her and blaming the end of their relationship on her both working in the Hospice and spending time with  Grace not the fact that it's no longer a loving relationship but instead a marriage of convenience. Primarily Robert claims he will just leave Alex to her new found relationship but soon he soon changes his mind and makes it difficult for Alex in every possible way.

He thinks this will punish Alex however he just pushes Grace and Alex closer and closer together. The two soon go out to a gay club together for a night out away from the close minded bigots who live in their town. Whilst at the club Alex bumps into a guy from her town who is a closeted gay man due to his Father having strong beliefs to try and ride any trace of gay from him. Alex and Grace's relationship seems to moving increasingly fast first after their first kiss then after their night out at the Gay club where their childhood friend Ray Ray does a Drag Queen show.

Grace Miller: Alex? Are you nervous?

           Alex Stratton: Are you?
          Grace Miller: Yes. No, of course I'm nervous about this... but not that it's you.
         Alex Stratton: I'm nervous. About this, and that it's you.
        Grace Miller: Look, if you want I can see about getting another room.
       Alex Stratton: I'm not THAT nervous.

Fortunately everyone is brought together at Bruce's funeral where the people from their town apologise to Spencer for the way they treated the people in the Hospice  and the new found couples are able to finally be comfortable in their own skins and be with who they want to be. Sloane is presented with the gay couples, Alex's parents (her Father is very accepting however her Mother is very judgemental.)

Once Upon a Time (Spoilers Alert)

Bus passenger: "That a good book?"
Henry: "This? It's more than just a book."

Once Upon a Time is a TV show based upon all of the different  Disney Movies/Hans Christian Andersen and The Brothers Grimm Fairytales. The fairytale drama is based in the fictional town of Storybrooke where young Henry is convinced the town people are characters from his fairytale book but have somehow forgotten their true identities. Originally you could just be lead to believe that Henry is merely acting out as he is adopted and he strongly believes his Mother is the Evil Queen. Henry goes to the extreme and tracks down his biological Mother as he feels she too can help the situation. Within doing so the viewing audience are introduced to the following town people who Henry thinks he has figured out their true identities and he goes into great details when discussing it with his biological Mother Emma after dropping the bombshell that he is the child she gave up years ago. Emma is both shocked and stunned when she first mets Henry but she soon does the right thing and takes him back home to Regina but she doesn't see it that way. Regina sees it as Emma is trying to come between them in a bid to get him back. What Emma doesn't know is that Margaret is her biological Mother, she has yet to find out that her biological Father is in town too, Henry is not aware that of his identity so he has yet to establish his biological GrandFather's identity.

Mayor Regina or is it The Evil Queen. According to her son Henry she once ruled over the Enchanted Forest getting her way in any which way she can, as well as despising Snow White for the impact her innocence had on her life by revealing one intricate detail about Regina's personal affairs. In Storybrooke she is feared/respected by all as they have no recollection of the evil woman she truly is or that she made each of their lives a living hell.

Evil Queen: "But you shall have it! My gift to you is this happy, happy day, but tomorrow my real work begins. You've made your vows, now I make mine: soon everything you love, everything all of you love, will be taken from you forever. Out of your suffering will rise my victory. I shall destroy your happiness if it is the last thing I do."

Mary Margaret Blanchard or is it Snow White. As Henry sees it she is currently his school teacher but in the Enchanted Forest she is Snow White who is the step child of The Evil Queen. Mary Margaret is rather a shy, timid woman in Storybrooke where as in the Enchanted Forest she was boisterous, adventurous and courageous.  She is also Mother to Emma and Biological GrandMother to Henry. She unfortunately does not remember her Husband nor his true identity.

Mary Margaret: "As we build our birdhouses, remember, what you're making is a home. Not a cage. A bird is free, and will do what it will. This is for them, not us. They're loyal creatures. If you love them and they love you, they will always find you. (Bell rings) We'll pick this up after recess. No running!"

John Doe/ David Nolan or as he is know in the Enchanted Forest Prince Charming. Initially he is in a

coma, Mary Margaret feels a connection with him and is unable to work out why but as a volunteer at the hospital she visits him every week. But with Regina's evil curse she has made sure that even if he comes out of the coma he still can not be with Mary Margaret as he already has a wife and his loyalty lies with her.

David Nolan: "All due respect, Regina, I don't think you know much about evil." 

Mr Gold as known as Rumplestiltskin. Henry didn't reveal his identity but instead Regina did, she thinks that he should remember their past lives as she does. However he appears not to, as if he did he would be pursuing a certain person from his past.  Mr Gold is a rather calm, intelligent rich man somewhat malicious as he owns all the property in town so in essence owns all of the towns people. Rumplestiltskin however is a corrupt, malicious, devious man within the Enchanted Forest but with his wife constantly belittling him and losing the only person he loved purely he became a beast.

Rumplestiltskin (stating his price for revealing what the Queen needs for the Dark Curse to work): "In this new land, should I ever come to you for any reason, you must heed my every request — you must do whatever I say — so long as I say ... 'please'!"

Ruby or as she is known in the Enchanted Forest Red Riding Hood. In Storybrooke she seems like a

highly strung and opinionated young woman who is always in cahoots with her boss or maybe they are more. In Storybrooke uby works in Granny's which is a cafe time setting, whilst in the Enchanted Forest she is a wolf by night. She is the bestfriend of Snow White and the Granddaughter of Granny.

Red Riding Hood: "May you always run free beneath the moon's pale light." [wolves' farewell blessing to their dead] 

Dr Archie Hopper or as Henry has established Jiminy Cricket who is his psychologist. Henry has been seeing him for years under the strong instruction of Regina. Henry and Dr Hopper seem to have a close knit relationship that of both a Doctor and patient as well as the compassion and love he has for the young boy in general.

Archie Hopper: "Because someday, Madam Mayor, you may find yourself in a custody battle. And d'you know how the court determines who is a fit parent? They consult an expert - particularly one... who has treated the child. So, I suggest that you think about that, and you allow me to do my work... and let me do it the way my conscience tells me to." 

Dreamy/Grumpy or as the people of Storybrooke know him as Leroy. Leroy is the most miserable

person in Storybrooke always snapping at everyone except for a certain woman. He knows her both as Nun and her actual identity and he appears to love her both ways. He tires to resist is attraction when she is a Nun as he isn't sure if he is able to be with her due to religious reasons. In the Enchanted Forest his name is chosen when he picks up his pick axe however in Storybrooke he is just a miserable drunk, that only Henry is able to see past as well as...

Grumpy: "Now, I'm warnin' ya. Don't let nobody or nothin' in the house."

Sheriff Graham or also known as the Huntsman, we see very little of him in the Enchanted Forest all we know is that he intended to kill Snow White at one stage however in Storybrooke he's Regina's lapdog/boyfriend i which he does everything she asks him to do. He seems under her spell to a whole new extent to everyone else, which isn't quite understandable in the beginning but soon everything comes to light. 

The Huntsman: [to a sleeping Snow White] "You deserved better. I once had a wife, Princess. Sara was her name. When I came back from the wars I carried with me the stench of death and the anger of the lost. I wasn't worth saving, that's for sure. She did so anyway. And I loved her so much. I loved her more than anyone or anything. Then I let her out of my sight and she was gone. And I became myself again. A self I never cared for. Until you. See, you remind me of her. Her heart, her spirit. But now you, too, have gone. You both deserved better and I'm so sorry I failed you. I'm so sorry. But you'll be a queen in Heaven now and sit among the angels. "[kisses Snow White] 

Emma both in the Enchanted Forest and Storybrooke, the only child of Mary Margaret and an unknown person of Storybrooke who have no recollection of their true identity nor to the fact that their daughter is currently in their presence. Also Henry's biological Mother who he has loved before he even knew her. She is supposedly the Savior and will be able to break the curse so that everyone in Storybrooke will be able to remember their true identities. 

Emma: [Emma to Regina] "Henry brought me to Storybrooke to bring back the happy endings. my jobs not done until I do that for everyone... including you." 


Henry the young child with the book determined to find out the truth and seek out his birth Mother no

matter what the repercussions are. Even if it's defying the only Mother he's ever known, stealing from his teacher in order to go on the trip and conning his biological Mother into coming to Storybrooke. 

Henry "I'm done reading about heroes. I want to be one." 

Pretty Little Liars Emily through the seasons (Season Two)

Samara: "If you don't want commitment, we won't get the large popcorn."

Samara and Emily's relationship was the shortest of all of Emily's relationships. The two met through Paige and the LGBT+ pride group she was meant to talk to but since Emily was in a secret relationship neither of them pursued anything. However when Emily ended it with Paige the two soon got together after realizing that they had plenty in common as well as Samara having already let Emily know that she thinks she is hot.

Samara: [to Paige about Emily] "Tell your friend how hot she looks with these earrings."

Emily initially doesn't wanna pursue anything with Samara as she thinks she will be moving to Texas as that's where her Father has been stationed. For the time being Emily is sharing a room with Hanna at Hanna's house as Ashley Marin has agreed to be her stand in guardians. She has watched how close the two are and that Hanna has no problem with Emily's sexuality so she too takes on the same stance. Even letting Emily invite Samara and her friends over to the house whilst both her and Hanna are out. Samara is still more than keen to hang out with Emily
and get to know her. Emily is then scouted by a college representative and she believes that this could make her parents hesitant about moving her to Texas especially if she get an official letter. Whilst being at the Movies with Samara Emily opens up about Maya and Samara too opens up about her first girlfriend, just the movie begins the two start feeling more comfortable with one another. This relationship seems completely different to Emily's previous one as Pam seems to be accepting of Samara and they even bond over the fact that they are both handy with a glue gun. Emily realizes she likes Samara more than she was letting on when Samara comes to the Fashion Show with what appears to be a date. Emily and Samara briefly date unofficially until Samara finds out then Emily slipped her friend Zoey her number. However what Samara is unaware is that A made Emily do it and that Emily had no interest in Zoey just Samara, thus the two parted. 

Samara "Until you give me a real answer, I can't do this anymore."

Maya [to Emily]: "I admit I like to live life in the grey area, but the way I feel about you is crystal clear... I love you, Emily."[They passionately kiss] Emily: "I love you too, Maya."

Emily and Maya reunite sometime after her somewhat relationship with Samara. Initially Maya is somewhat bitter towards Pam as it's partially her fault that she was sent away to the religious camp 'True North'. Maya doesn't know that Pam is now some what accepting and is willing to start afresh with her if Maya will give her a chance instead of the snide remarks and smart mouth comments which Emily is not impressed about. The two fall out after dinner but they soon reconcile the next day, Emily goes to Maya's house to apologize and they talk through their issues before Maya invites her in to show Emily how she has transferred her room into a water theme. Maya soon reveals exactly how she feels and admits to loving Emily to which Emily replies she feels the same way and the two have sex for the first time. 

As good as things seem to be going between the two girls it soon turns sour and the two fall out again after Emily's swim meet/ after party at Hanna's house because Maya has started casually smoking marijuana again. Maya promptly runs away as she refuses to go to rehab again. Initially Emily is not too concerned as she thinks Maya is just being stubborn so as not to get sent back to rehab but when

the Police come knocking to inform her that Maya is missing, Hanna is the one to say to Emily that she should come clean about everything she knows. Maya returns to Rosewood to see Emily unfortunately she is murdered by her psychotic ex-boyfriend Lyndon who she met in the rehab camp. Leaving Emily heartbroken and Maya her murdered first love. The worst part being that Pam, Emily's Mom has to give her the devastating news and Maya's body was found somewhat close to where Alison's body was also found.
