Made in Chelsea Ollie Locke

When we first met Ollie he was in a supposedley loving but strained relationship with Gabrielle, the two seemed to have a lot of passion/chemistry in the bedroom however it is somewhat tense in every other situation. Gabrielle was in it wholeheartedly whilst Ollie seemed to be going along for the ride as he doesn't know how to end the relationship. They just appear to go through the motions which leads Gabrielle to believe that the relationship is going somewhere, unfortunately Ollie is just stringing her along. Not because he doesn't care but because he has come to a new realization but isn't sure about how to approach it nor the fact that he isn't fully ready to accept it as of yet. Then again he maybe oblivious to the idea initially even though he owns gay porn. He seems to think it's something all men have and just happen to hide in a different case so that it's not found by anyone else. His issue rather than accepting it and confiding in his two bestfriends Cheska and Binky is instead he shy's away from it with his relationship of convienence. This further leads to problems in his relationship as he tries to distance himself from Gabrielle without giving her a proper reason initially. He eventually ends the relationship but first he admits to Gabrielle the real reason that the relationship wasn't working.
He finally admits what some had suspected and others already knew that he is in fact bi-sexual and would like to try dating men. The only person who's reaction to it seems of genuine shock is Gabrielle but that might be because she was dating him and had become oblivious to some of his effeminate ways in which others might believe portray that he is gay or bi-sexual. In the time that Gabrielle and Ollie dated she thought she was lucky to have an image conscious boyfriend who took an incessant pride in his appearance from his well groomed hair, his weekly oxygen facials and his impeccable fashion sense and the fact that he did not shy from wearing make-up/accessories. Not to say that men can not be
interested in the same things it's just Ollie comes about it in a whole new way. It's just that he is kind of camp, flamboyant, out there mannerisms and general posture without being too over the top. He is more than keen to share the secrets of how to have luxurious hair like his with a few simple tricks or how he has such flawless makeup.
Ollie attempts to get a date with a guy and is successful with Richard's help the problem is when Ollie goes in for a kiss and the guy tells him he's not ready for that. Which leaves Ollie feeling both embarrassed, rejected and pouring his heart out to his best friends. He seems to have lost his confidence and charisma when it came to that date, probably because he was out of his comfort zone having not dated a man before. He shouldn't have rushed in all guns blazing instead he should have taken his time to get to know the guy like he would have done with any lady he had dated in the past.
The beauty of witnessing Ollie finding himself in 'Made in Chelsea' is that he showed the struggle that some adults go through later on in life when they realize they are bi-sexual, gay, lesbian, transgender etc. Obviously some of it was played up for rating but majority of his thoughts/feelings and emotions were genuine which many people could/can indentify with
