She4Me

"I have heard it said so many times, 'Love is blind'
So why are you staring?
You say that love is all we need, well
Does that apply to me?
'Cause I have found someone
That I think is beautiful
And I have fallen in love"

She4Me was heartwarming PSA which was the perfect way to celebrate the love of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples Valentine's Day 2014.  The song originates from the lesbian anthem "She" by songwriter Jen Foster

She4Me is the perfect depiction of celebrating love for everyone but specifically lesbians within this remake and the music video. The music video initially leads you to believe that the two young girls who are practicing their ballet techniques are merely best friends who have remained best friends well into their adult lives. We watch as they continuously dance and mess about with one another only to be relatively the same as adults however where
they were once a duo they are now a trio. With what appears to be the brunette's beau who always seems to upset the blonde with his presence as she has what appears to be an unrequited love for her, which both the brunette and her beau seem oblivious to. She seems to remain close friends and close by her as she would rather have her as a best friend than not at all, to the point where she is willing to be the best man (well woman) to the Groom. Smiling at their happiness whilst we watch as her heart breaks throughout the ceremony.
Suddenly we are presented with flashbacks of the two young girls which rapidly brings us back to the present where the "Groom" steps to the side and the blonde and brunette look at one another lovingly as it is in fact their wedding day and the "Groom" is the best man. I established if you watch the music video a couple times you pick up on subtle hints that you may not have seen the first time around, which will quicker confirm that the two girls are indeed in love and a couple.
It just goes to show that in this time we can often have friendships which can be both misinterpreted and misconstrued as something more than it is. The Brunette Bride and the "Groom" have a close knit relationship which to others who do not know/understand the dynamics of their connection could assume that they are one another's love interest when in fact they are just each other's person, maybe even soul mates in their own way.
